Schooner La Canadienne

[1867]. - Etching of the schooner La Canadienne. Under the command of Pierre Fortin, it is given the responsibility to protect the fishing plants in the Gulph of St. Lawrence. In the distance, we can see a lighthouse on the shore.

Pierre-Etienne Fortin also represented the region in the Communes first from 1867 to 1874 and from 1878 to 1887. He then represented the Gaspé in the Legislative Assembly from 1867 to 1878.
