1906. - Postcard published by Ernestine Lespérance representing the port of Gaspé in Winter. In the forefront, the wharves, the hangars, and many schooners used for the transportation of merchandise.

To the right, on the basin's other bank, the port facilities at Conway Point with, in the background, the mountains of Forillon.

In the nineteenth century, the port of Gaspé was an important port for the exportation of dried and cured codfish to the international markets.
