1882. - Etching of fishermen busy fishing for bait used for cod-fishing. On the left, we can see the men using nets to catch herrings, as the men on the right fish for squid with a hand line, or jigger.

In the background, we can see the Percé Rock as well as the silhouettes of sailing ships.

In the region, the bait was often called "boëtte".
