The main centres of settlement were Saint-Louis (Maria), Saint-Alphonse-de-Caplan, Caplan, Saint-Charles, New-Carlisle, Paspébiac, Saint-Godefroi, Port-Daniel, L'Anse-aux-Gascons, etc.
